OBJECTIVES: The main objective is to enable budding professionals to develop the necessary research skills, attitude, and confidence for a successful career in agriculture.
Eligible applicants are graduate students.
Since the research will be an integral part of an ongoing project, the research expenses/operational costs will be borne by the project.
However, applicants will seek funding from their employers, universities, and donors to cover the costs of their living expenses, medical, insurance and travel costs to and from IITA. On a case by case basis and depending on the nature of research, applicants from developed countries may be asked to cover either all or a part of their research costs. However, full scholarships through special projects or grants to IITA will be advertised as and when available.
