The USDA-FAS sponsors the Cochran Fellowship Program to provide training to mid-level managers from lower to middle-income countries in selected agricultural topics that will strengthen trade linkages with the US.
A training program is requested concerning cattle genetics for five fellows from Turkey. Key topics of the program include: “agricultural marketing, artificial insemination, farm management on various types and sizes, animal breeding and genetics, genetic materials available for potential buyers, U.S. breed associations, dairy and beef farm economics, feed formulation, food safety standards, and animal disease control.”
Other details, including detailed learning objectives, are in the attached document (page 19). Application details are also in the document. The document includes the solicitation for all four programs available at this time, but I’ve broken them out to make it easier for you to distribute to different groups at your institution.
Please note that the closing date for applications is Friday, 19 June 2015.
