USAID releases forecasts of anticipated activities on a periodic basis throughout the year. A Second Quarter 2016 forecast was released yesterday for both Washington and Mission offices. These forecasts can be accessed here and the excel files are also attached to this email.
APLU has reviewed these forecasts and has identified opportunities directly related to higher education (highlighted in yellow) and agriculture (highlighted in green). The Washington Forecast does not contain any specific Higher Education or Agriculture projects, however, the BAA for the Global Development Lab may provide an opportunity for APLU institutions. In the Mission Forecast, there are a number of new forecasted agricultural Feed the Future opportunities. No HICD specific forecasts were included this quarter.
Your institutions may want to review the forecasts for additional projects that might be of interest in focused subject areas.
The APLU International Programs Office team is available as a resource and partner to you as you explore and apply for these and other collaborative higher education development opportunities. If APLU’s location in Washington, DC; the experience and knowledge of our team; and our ability to tap into the sizeable expertise of the higher education community in Africa, the U.S. and other countries can strengthen your application, please do not hesitate to contact us about becoming a partner.
